Dear Praying Friends and Faithful Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. I am sorry for being delayed in my prayer letter. I thought it was was on schedule but missed it. Where do we begin? The past three months have seen a lot of things happen in our ministry here and we are blessed to see God growing the church.
In our last prayer letter, we expressed the need for our Sunday School building, and I am so thankful to announce that God brought in all the money necessary for the building, and the building process has begun. It was humbling to see God provide in such a miraculous way, and we are humbled by the generosity of all our supporters for the work of the Lord. We are prayerfully hoping to have the structure up and in place by the end of the month. The foundation has been laid and the floor is poured, and the materials are in place to finish it.
Since coming back to Zambia, we have been able to do many fine touches to the building itself, and we are thankful that God is growing us numerically as well as spiritually. We had a send off and church fellowship at the beginning of April as we sadly sent Justin Sauder’s oldest son Elijah back to the states. He was a real blessing and encouragement to the church, and he has been dearly missed. Pray for him as he adjusts back to his new life and prepares for what God has for him. That day was our highest attendance for the church, and it was exciting to see it that full. Obviously, as we all know, ministry has its highs and lows, but we know that God gives the increase.
We then had a great special meeting for Easter which was amazing. There was a young man Daniel that we had the privilege to lead to the Lord after the morning service in April, and he has been faithful to church ever since. We had a memorial service for one of our founding members who passed away suddenly, and this young man who had been visiting off and on for a few weeks was convicted by her testimony. He came up after the service and asked if he could see from the Scriptures how to be saved. He called out on the Lord for salvation and it has been great to watch his spiritual growth. Pray for him to continue to grow as I meet with him weekly in discipleship and mentoring. He was baptized on Easter Sunday morning, which I think was such a beautiful picture of Christ’s completed work. In Zambia, Good Friday is a holiday, and everything is shut down, so we used the day to invite several different people to come and used it as a time to preach through Isaiah 53. It was a such a good time of fellowship and reflection of what Christ suffered for us on the cross.
We have been busy with meeting with new families that will be sitting for our membership class in June, and it is exciting to see these families as they try to get their children and families into a solid church. Please be in prayer for this membership class. We also held a youth meeting May and had a good turnout for that and good time of fellowship and study of the Word. We have several young adults and teenagers, and we are thankful to watch their growth and unity as they get to develop relationships with each other around the Bible. Please pray for them as they face the temptations and worldly influences that are so present in our country. Thank you for your prayers for us and the ministry here. God is blessing and is faithful. We have seen Him answer so many specific prayer requests, and we are humbled by God’s grace. Our family is doing well, and although we had a bout of typhoid everyone has recovered and is doing well. Thank you for your support, not just financially but prayers as well, as we know we need it.
Serving together with you, Caleb, Abby, Rosalie, Oliver, Henry, and Isabelle Robinson
