Dear Praying Friends and Faithful Supporters, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
We hope that the new year finds you well, and that God has blessed you in your various ministries. The ministry in Zambia is going well, and God is allowing the church to grow. January and February are the heart of the rainy season here with heavy periods of rain which makes some of the ministry activities slow down. We have started a series through the book of Romans on Sunday mornings which has been a lot of fun to study and preach through. I am hoping that this emphasis on the book of Romans will help our people understand the doctrine of salvation better, and also understand the many other Bible doctrines found in the book. We have had a few new visiting families that have come to the church and are asking about church membership. We will meet with them over the next few weeks and listen to their testimonies, which are always a joy to listen to.
We have had some challenges with my wife's health over the past several months, and are really struggling to get proper answers unfortunately. Some things have improved slightly, but we will have to get more answers back stateside in order to get more conclusive answers. When we come back to the states later this year, we will try to get some appointments scheduled for her, and hopefully get some follow up on my back issues at the same time.
This year is an election year in Zambia and definitely can make for an interesting time. We are praying for a smooth election period.
Zambia’s currency has gained very significantly on the dollar over the past few months. This has made living here significantly more expensive then before. We have been trying to find ways to save money and manage things, and it hasn’t just affected us . . . but also many of our church members. Pray for wisdom as we minister to others, and also pray that God will provide for the needs of the people we minister to as well. I mention this because we planned to do some ministry in another part of Zambia, and financially this is becoming more difficult as the costs of everything keep rising. Please pray that God will provide the needed funds for this Pastors Training. It will be roughly $3,000 dollars per trip to do the pastors training. I know it will be a blessing and encouragement to the churches. The cost is more, because of the need to fly rather then drive. Pray for wisdom as we do this, and that it will be a blessing to the men we are ministering to. We are planning one trip in July and one in October.
We thank you for your faithful support and special gifts and prayers for the ministry. Please be in prayer as we minister to the leaders in the church, and we pray that God will raise up a leader for this church when the time is right.
Serving together with you, Caleb, Abby, Rosalie, Oliver, Henry, and Isabelle Robinson
